SIO Track & Field Program Structure

1. SIO Track & Field Academy

SIO Academy is an all-inclusive approach to Track & Field training. The academy begins with a complete 12 area assessment surrounding mechanics, physiological, physiological, cognitive areas that affect your ability to run at the highest level.  Goals are written for the year broken up into mini-seasons. During the course of the year, Academy Athletes will receive weekly classes, monthly clinics, biomechanical assessments, and private coaching.

2. Individual Training and Clinics

SIO Sports offers training in strength, Agility, Conditioning, Bio-Mechanical Assessments, Hitting, Pitching, Catching, Individual Infield position, and outfield on an hourly and group rate.

3.  Play for Team SIO

SIO running club placement is by age group. We have four team divisions to consider:

Middle School – 6-8th grade

Some of the requirements:

  1.  Must be a current SIO Academy Student
  2. Demonstrate an SIO Sports Evaluation score of 85% or higher for their primary position
  3. An understanding that running time is performance based with no guaranteed playing time
  4. A desire to play at the highest level of play regardless of the outcome
  5.  Share the goal of becoming State Champions
  6. Share the ultimate goal of competing at a national level
  7. Must carry a 3.0-grade point*

High School – 9-12th grade

Some of the requirements:

  1.  Must be a current SIO Academy Student or demonstrate an SIO Sports Evaluation score of 70% or higher for their primary position
  2. An understanding that playing time is performance based with no guaranteed playing time
  3. A desire to play at the highest level of play regardless of the outcome
  4. Share the goal of becoming A team players
  5. Share the ultimate goal of becoming AA state champs

College – Freshman-Senior

Some of the requirements:

  1. Have the desire to demonstrate an SIO Sports Evaluation score of over 70%
  2. An understanding that playing time is not performance-based and designed to give an opportunity for growth and development to all players
  3. An understanding that this is a development team where winning is not the ultimate goal but instead will emphasis experience at various positions for all players.
  4. Share the goal of winning the league championship
  5. Share the ultimate goal of winning a tournament

Adult – 23+

Some of the requirements:

  1. Have the desire to demonstrate an SIO Sports Evaluation score of over 70%
  2. An understanding that playing time is not performance-based and designed to give an opportunity for growth and development to all players
  3. An understanding that this is a development team where winning is not the ultimate goal but instead will emphasis experience at various positions for all players.
  4. Share the goal of winning the league championship
  5. Share the ultimate goal of winning a tournament

SIO Athletic Body Management program educates and helps athletes to keep their bodies healthy during their demanding training and competition schedules. (cardio, muscles, ligaments/tendants).
